What a week!

It's been only four weeks but guess what, our midterms are fast approaching! It's almost here. This week yata? Hm. So what do I have to say about the first month about dorm and college life? Absolutely great so far. Pressuring and stressful in some parts but still manageable!

Every time I go home, I miss Intramuros! And my dorm! And Mapua! It was so homey there that it only took a week for me to adjust.

Ok. So eto ang highlights!

1. Descriptive Essay writing nung ENG10
Napakasamang experience! Grabe. Pinagawa kami ng essay about our first long quiz in Math10. Eh as in super sakit ng tyan ko! I can't write with ease dahil nagpilipit-pilipit na yata ang intestines ko. Hahaha pero ang inisip ko. May kailangang ilabas. Hahahaha so I brought out tissues and went out. Nung nakabalik na ako, thankfully I still had time to finish the essay. PHEW!!!

2. Embarrassing experience in English
English is the subject I'm always making a fool of myself! Kailan pa naging 17 ang sum ng 9 + 7?! I should've said 3.5 but I said 4! AAARRRGGGHHH.

3. Ate at numerous carinderias
Okay. Erase the numerous. Dalawa pa lang nga eh... Hahaha. We haven't tried eating at Kantunan yet. One reason is that there's a lot of people there! And we can't eat there for we would occupy lots of space. Kaya dun kami lagi sa likod ng Mapua. Tapos one day, we tried Faustino's. Sarap din dun pero under time pressure ka dahil angdaming mga taong pumapasok eh maliit-liit lang yun! Si Carla eh napakain ng mabilisang ang kanyang fried pork chop at Mountain Dew!

4. I enjoy my blockmates' company
Every dismissal in our Draw20w class, may mga maiiwan pa sa room. Kami-kami nila Nikki tapos sila James, Jeano, Eugene at Benjo. Magkekwentuhan sila at magtatawanan. Ako makikitawa. In these earlier times of college, hindi pa ako pala-kwento. Tagatawa lang. Sad no? Hindi tulad ng high school. Haaay. Hahaha! Hihikain ako pag nandyan si James at Nikki eh! Add Kyle pa who is so mischievous he surprised Nikki one time at the cafeteria and the outcome was nabulunan ako dahil sa isang nut ng donut tapos si Carla tawa ng tawa kinapos ng hangin.

5. Ghost stories and CHEEStories
Two nights of scary and cheesy stories with my room mates Lei and Paola! I enjoy their stories! And saya nilang kasama. Hahaha! Paola's my elementary classmate! We've met again. Hehe :) Grabe talaga. Nakakatakot! Kasi diba, sa Intramuros pa kami? Tapos dorm. So there's no denying na matatakot ka sa mga pinagkekwento namin!

6. The first long quiz in Math10
Kung tutuusin, madali lang eh. PERO. PERO. PERO. Okay hindi gaanong kadali. Mahirap din siya! Eh kasi naman... I didn't bring my calculator. Yes, my trusted calcu since high school. Ang calcu na nakapagpasa sa akin sa Stat! Hahahaha! I didn't bring it!!! Eh biglang pinayagan na kaming gumamit ng calcu. O patay ako ngayon diba? Pero ano magagawa ko? MAGMANUAL! Woo. Haha.

7. First time to commute pabalik!!! And second time mag-LRT (First was when I was 5 ba? HAHA)
Ok. So I texted Nial yesterday afternoon! I asked him if he was going home to Gapo. He said yes pero mga 6 pa daw at may kasabay siya. So I met up with him in front of Residencia, his dorm. Then we walked to Mapua and waited for our kasabay. St. Jo din so old schoolmate! Si Ate Shen? Wah I'm not sure of the spelling. Haha! She's so cute and nice! And really easy to talk to. So we walked and walked and walked until we got out of Intramuros. Tapos punta ng LRT!!!! Woo! Enjoy naman! Nakatayo ako all throughout the trip! At nung isang stasyon na lang at Monumento na, dun lang ako nakaupo. Irony strikes!!! Haha. Then walked to the Victory terminal in Caloocan! Ayun dun kaming tatlo sa likod! Palabas sa TV eh Poohkwang so we laughed and I remebered the time when we watched that at the back of the class nung mga March na. MANOK NA BATA :D Hehe. Tapos kwentuhan kami about ghost stories in Mapua, sa mga dorms namin, alien conspiracy theories, Mapua, sleeping and lots more! :) Then we got in Gapo na and they left the bus before I did. Tapos sinundo na ako ni Mommy and we ate at KFC. I was so hungry!!!! Nahihilo nga ako sa bus eh.

Marami pang pangyayari pero ngayon eh gusto kong manood ng TV. Imajin! 2 weeks akong walang alam sa balita, sa mga cartoons. Nako nako. I shall go now!

Pressure, college, drawing, B41

B41 My beloved section! We're not complete here since lots have left when Ma'am Ignacio dismissed us from Draw20w. Kyle took this picture then I brightened the picture a bit and tweaked the contrast.

Second week of college was more tiring! And you can feel the pressure na! Reporting on Egyptian art tomorrow, we had to research stuff. Then I forgot to attach the file. Eh the file was saved in a net shop in Intramuros pa! So I had to research again earlier. Good thing naabutan ko si Jason. Dapat daw umaga ng Sunday eh. Phew!

Then angdaming requirements pa sa Draw2ow! I haven't got a 12x18 sketch pad pa and all those other drafting instruments but I've done my assignment na. In English not yet but I'll probably do it later.

I'll not be going back to Manila today. Tomorrow na lang! Papacheck up ako ng mata eh! Anglabo na talaga. Nung una yung right eye ko lang ang hindi nakakabasa ng malayo, ngayon pati left na. Aruy. Hindi ito pwede! I must wear eyeglasses na.

Next update I don't know when but... We'll see. All I know is that today... I feel so tired. My head's spinning and I am HUNGRY FOR HOME-COOKED MEALS!

First week

First week of being a college frosh was a blast! I'm in Subic right now, taking a rest from all the schoolworks and long walks from our dorm to school. I've met really nice people! First college friend is Kwinee. Then we made friends with the two girls who sat next to us while waiting for the prof to enter the room to SW400. Nikki and Lee! Tapos nakipagkaibigan na rin kami sa dalawang blockmates naming nakaupo sa harap namin. Sila James and Mikey.

Then ayun, tuloy tuloy na ang making friends! Sa likod sila JJ, Eugene, Carla and Allysa. :)
Lots of funny people in MAS and in our section B41. Daming assignments and requirements pero kakayanin! :D

Also got to see and meet some of the MAS forum people! Si Kyle, Dana, Inches and Lady! Also saw Kuya Pedyson nung unang araw.

Looking forward to more fun this week.

Currently listening to Hero-Enrique Iglesias. :D Haha bought a new book earlier and some art stuff. Malapit na pasukan! sa 20 na! I want to see all those friendly people in the forum! Gwilen, RAP, Inches, Francesca, Aruin, Paolo, Kyle, our seniors and fellow froshies! LAHAT! :) Excited eh. Pero kabado pa rin.

I haven't packed anything yet and we're supposed to leave for Manila tomorrow! Geez cheez beez. OH well, sleepless nights are my friends ever since the summer vacation.

Truth be told, I don't want to leave our home pa. Will I survive the wonders and dangers of Manila? HOPE SO. This is a challenge for an introverted person like me. Haha I have no social life. Yata. Ewan. Bah humbug. I shall get rid of my shyness once and for all.

Can't wait to see my good old friends again on Sunday! Will watch HBP with Kate, Sy, No, Shay, Thea, Carla! Sa MOA na lang sana para imax. Haha. :)) Taxi na lang kami.

GRABE unang lipat pa lang gala na ako. WAHAHA. Seriously, hindi ako pala-gala. It's just that I haven't seen them for such a long time and HP's showing pa o diba? :)

Countdown

Two more days until Half-blood Prince!!! Haha it's almost there.
And four more days until I leave our house and go to Manila!
Five more days until we watch Half-blood Prince in SM Manila.
Aaaaand dun dun dun Six more days until...classes start FINALLY!

Sorry for the lack of updates... Wala naman talaga akong makwento. Kung meron man, how I spent my three-month vacation. Haha. Anghaba ng tulog ko ngayon. 11 hours. Sulitin at sabi ng mga seniors namin sa course ko, masanay na raw kaming matulog ng tatlong oras! ><
And July 20-25 is our Frosh Week! Woo exciting. :D Pero hindi ko pa rin alam kung anong ginagawa dyan! haha. D:

The whole world in a paperback

Here's our picture of the day! Kind of appropriate for today's post. It seems so bokeh-magical. Haha!

Last year I was really dying to see that I had so many books I haven't finished reading yet. And to think that I haven't even started some! Well what can I do? I had to read textbooks rather than storybooks because of school. Hm... Not that I really did read those textbooks. *evil grin*

But since I still have a few days before July 20, I can read all of the books I haven't read yet. So far, from the month of April up to this day, I've already read Harry Potter 6, 7 (Had to reread them. Haha! For HBP comes into theaters in July. Needed to refresh the memory. I always do that.) The 39 Clues: The Sword Thief by Peter Lerangis, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, The Alchemyst by Michael Scott and The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge.

Right now I'm reading Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. Haha I've read the first 50 pages I think for 4 times already! I can't seem to finish it every time I attempt to read it. Probably because I had a lot on my plate whenever I decided to open it. Nonetheless, I enjoyed reading it even though... You know... Four times... Haha.

I have this one book given to me by Ninang Renee back in Christmas of 2004. Eragon by Christopher Paolini. I'm always enchanted by the thought of dragons living side by side with us humans. Haha but you know what, I have only read the first 100 pages. Up until now... The year 2009... I have not finished it! I know I know. Shame on me.

I'll bring Eragon to our dorm and I'll read it there and actually finish it!!! That is... If thick books about Math and Science don't get in the way. Hahahaha :)) j/k

Aaah. I can't really form into words or sentences or paragraphs how I feel whenever I read books. It's like a way to survive from daily stress, an outlet whenever you feel down or scared or plain bored from all the internet crazes going on, a friend who tells you everything about magic, love, history, family, cakes, friendship, ships, secret codes and everything else in between.

But for me...
I could never ever live without books. They're like my old friends. Friends whom you can count on or talk to when you're in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people. (Something like that. Haha if it's possible to bring all the books I want to read/reread to college I would but my back would pay for it all because of the heaviness haha. As what Mo from Inkheart said, 'Books have to be heavy because the whole world's in them.'

Books and Pictures

Still here... Running out of stuff to update my blog with... So the following days I might bombard my blog with pictures! Wala naman akong makwento tungkol sa college. Simply because I'm not a college student yet!!! Ano pa lang... incoming. Hahaha. While all of my batchmates are studying, kami bakasyon pa rin. Haha. So I shall be spending the rest of the vacay finishing the books I've been meaning to read a long time ago. I've finished Michael Scott's The Alchemyst last night. It's such an interesting read! Kahit brownout kagabi, I didn't mind reading it with the aid of trusty old candelight!

Then I was planning to reread Artemis Fowl but I decided to go with The Little White Horse first. :)

The old times

So yesterday I didn't have anyone to talk to from my batch because everyone's busy 'cause of college! Besides Joan, Pat and Bets who were answering the Eye Spy Terible Challenge in Facebook. Haha but today I'm glad I got to talk to lots of people I haven't heard from since the beginning of time! Haha Got to chat with Ayana, Conrad, Cody, Noreen, Shay, Mark, Omar, Patty and Carla! So now I don't feel that much left out. Heh.

A few days remain until we go to school and I cannot wait any longer! I'm excited but at the same time, still don't want to leave our home. :(

Tahimik

See the big red picture thingy? Haha nangyari yan ng first preliminary exam namin. Breaktime yata? Nasa labas si Ma'am Sidon nung time na yan. Pinagsama-sama ang mga one-liners na sumikat sa room ng mga June-July. I MISS GOLD AND TERIBLEEEE! T_T

Nakakapanibagong makitang napakatahimik ng Y!m ngayon. Lahat on SMS o kaya'y offline. Bakit nga ba? Because everyone's in school already! Haha and I'm still here at our house, enjoying the last few days of my vacation. I want to go to college now too but I still don't want to. Mixed emotions, ever heard of 'em?

So anyway, sila Omar, sa July pa din lilipat sa dorm. Mga July 11 ako lilipat. So maybe I'll spend June losing some weight hahaha and drawing and drawing and some coloring too. Susulitin ko na lahat dahil after I've entered the doors to Mapua, puro aral and drawing na. And computer. =_= sa ngayon nga eh angtahimik din ng timeline ko sa Plurk. I feel loneleh. haha 

Oh well, I wish everyone's having a great time today in college! :)

Nga pala, napaginipan ko ang D'Likowders. Hahahahaha! Everyday lagi kong natatandaan mga panag-inip ko. I should keep a dream journal or something.

Currently listening to Jackson 5's ABC. I love this song! I first heard it on Daddy Day Care.

Haha nga pala, I haven't read the book but I want to see the movie. The story intrigues me! What am I talking about? The Time-Traveler's Wife! I saw the trailer last night and I can't wait for August to come by! Haha sa August din ishoshowing yung Up. How saaaaaad. But it's okay. HP's coming in July naman. :D

No available seats

Yan ang sinabi sa amin ni Ma'am Daduya ng mga ilang araw na lang ang natitira bago kami tuluyan ng lumisan sa eskwelahang naging pangalawang tahanan namin sa loob ng apat na taon. Marami kaming natutunan at nakilala pero syempre, all things come to an end. 

Move forward na dahil sarado na ang pinto para tayo pa'y makapasok sa RS. Pero syempre ibang storya na ang pagbisita dun. Hahahaha! 

College. Eto nanaman ang laging nasa isip ko. Ibang-iba ito sa high school. Bagong mundo, bagong rules, bagong mga tao. Ang masasabi ko eh hindi pa ako ready bumitaw sa pagiging bata. Dahil ito na ang time para maging independent. Magcocommute na mag-isa, magdodorm, hihiwalay sa pamilya. At ang malas ko at Mon-Sun ang klase ko! Uwi ko siguro eh hapon ng Sunday tapos balik ng umaga ng Monday. Okay lang ito, first term lang tong schedule na ito. Hahaha.

Ang isa pang iniisip ko eh magkakaroon ba ako ng mga kaibigan na makakasakay sa mga trip ko? Haha. People who will accept me for who I am? Sana meron. Please lang. HAHAHAHA! Pero excited na ako pumasok!!! Kahit ayaw ko pa. Yes yes yo, may mga bago nanaman akong kaibigan na ishashare ko ang jokes na napupulot ko kung saan saan na nagpatawa saken. 

Sa MAS Forums, marami na akong nakilala! Dalawa na yung blockmates ko. B41 people! 

Si Jastelle (I like to call him Jas haha) na really nice nung una kong nakilala sa deviantART. Si Gwilen, anggaling na photographer! I saw her Fotologue account and her photos show different stories! Tapos si RAP yata ang pinakaexcited sa amin. :)) Ang active sa forum eh. Haha he's nice and accomodating din. Always encouraging other MAS guys to sign up at the forums. Si Mahree din! She's from Bataan and angbait din nya. Big fan ni Ashley Simpson. And of course, si Francesca! Na naging kaibigan ko online mga last year pa dahil ka link exchange. Haha sayang hindi kami magkaklase. ;_____;

Anyway, the bottom line is... I'm happy may mga naging kaibigan na ako pagdating ko sa Mapua sa July 13 which is great! Sometime maglulunch kaming lahat together. Hahaha yay. Pero that doesn't change the fact na ayaw ko pa magcollege. Excited na ako pero ayaw ko pa rin. Hahaha that's what they call mixed emotions!

Virus, layas na.

Presenting Robbie and Sera! I just decided that I'll just call the comic Sibling Rivalry. Haha so there. I just colored it in earlier. I've colored three sketches today because there is absolutely nothing to do! Well, there's always TV. Hahaha! I'm waiting for Brother Bear to air in Disney!!

Ok. So balita ko eh classes will resume on June 15. Angel says that meron na rin daw yatang case ng A(H1N1) sa FEU. And UST? I don't know. Let's just wait for the news. It's a good thing our classes start on July 13 so there's no possibility for me to get contact with the virus or anything. SANA. Haha ayaw ko magkaroon non! Gusto ko ng magcollege at mag-aral. Wow that's something you don't hear from me everyday. Well get this, I miss studying! I miss cramming. I miss opening those textbooks and pouring theories and ideas into my nut of a brain. Hahaha all I've been doing this summer is draw, color, watch TV, net, eat, sleep, you know the drill. At least, I'm still learning from everything I've been doing. Ha!

Well I hope everyone who's got the virus will respond nicely to the medicine and treatments they've been getting as to not make matters worse. Oh virus layas na, layas na!!!

Of summer and comic strips

Here's a little sketch for the day entitled The Night Comes Alive. I'm no party animal myself, you see. If ever I get invited to a party, I'd probably sit in one corner and eat. 

After one month and a few days, I will live inside the historical walls of Intramuros! Then I will be a college student, then graduate, work for Disney then back to the beginning. Ha! Hindi ganyan kadali i-explain ang buhay. 

Pero ang buhay summer ko? Very easy! All I did was eat, sleep, surf the internet, draw, color, watch TV, blog, Tumble, chat, Plurk, roleplay, sleep again, stay awake up until 1 in the morning, play with the cats, enjoy bonding moments with my Mom, play Facebook games, dream and everything else in between! Imagine not being paid for doing those exhilarating jobs! 

So now, seeing that I've done nothing to make my summer productive, I've decided to make comic strips! And I'm going to call it "Four Terrible Years", starring my batchmates! Ako ang sidekick. Let's see... Sa lahat ng Terible dyan, give me very funny memories na nangyari sa high school life natin. Then I'll make a comic strip for it. Then will post it here. In my blog. Maybe. Or someplace else. Parang gantong mga tipong pangyayari.
